WHAT iS Graphic Design?
Simply put... it's visual communication through digital imagery. Every Print, Billboard, Social Media Platform, Promotion, Book, Periodical, Ad, Magazine, etc., uses some form of Graphic Design... especially, Graphic Novels and Comic Books. Graphic Design is also a professional skill-set and an academic discipline, which can evolve into a well paying career choice!

Students who are normally board with the idea of learning Narrative Story Writing are "charged" by seeing their original stories "come-to-life" in the form of a Graphic Novels and Comic Books!
MAGIC© Program Created Graphic Novel, Comic Book, and Anime Art designs!
Graphic Novels, Comics, and Anime books are recognized and read world-wide by kids teens and adults. Essentially, they are narrative stories that contain illustrated and scripted content!
The MAGIC© program is currently introduced through learning the basics to form, create, and develop Graphic Novel, Comic Book, and Anime style images (like the ones we've created above) in the very first class of the "Graphics" department. Participants not only learn basic design skills, they will also increase their skills in Narrative Story Writing as well as be able to utilize these skills to take their classwork, projects, assignments, and design interests to the next level!
HOW THE MAGIC© WORKS

Interested participants take the 8-Week MAGIC© program course in graphic novel/comic book creation!
MAGIC© Program classes are designed and tailored to illustrate the steps to a variety of student grade levels/age groups. Participants receive step-by-step hands-on instruction in:
- Layout!
- Narrative story writing!
- Typesetting!
- Storyboarding/Thumbnailing!
- Narration & speech bubble creation!
- Graphic novel/comic book templates!
- Image & text manipulation!
- Graphic special effects... and more!
Parent company, CHAPTER, chooses students to become "Student Authors"!
Although most all of the participants are excited about taking the MAGIC© program, not all will or want to become authors. At the completion of the 8-week course, a challenge is put-forth to encourage students to take the next step. Participants work and work-ethic are evaluated by CHAPTER and specific participants are chosen to have their submitted graphic novel/comic book published in a physical and digital copy!
Upon the completion of their graphic novel/comic book, the chosen individual(s) work is formatted into a manuscript and sent to the publisher for *non-sale publication!
Although they are not for sale, we strive to make them available for viewing through local schools and public libraries that support our new "Student Author" initiative!

8-Week Course
Prices are based on an 8-week program (1 class per week), 90-minutes per class, for up to 12 participants!
Class platform of 12 without laptops provided By CHAPTER
Parent company, CHAPTER, provides a 50" monitor, instructions, and materials. Location provides laptops or computers, chairs, tables, space, Internet access, etc.
- *Additional $45 per laptop per class (when available).
- *Additional $75 per class for an assistant with class occupancies over 12 participants.
- *Additional $50 per class for up to 3 tables and 12 chairs provided by CHAPTER.
CLass platform of 12 with laptops PROVIDED BY CHAPTER

- *Additional $30 per laptop per class over 12 (when available).
